睾丸生殖细胞肿瘤（Testicular germ cell tumors）占睾丸原发性肿瘤（primary tumors of the testes）的 90％。它们是15-49岁男性中最常见的非血液系统恶性肿瘤。
睾丸生殖细胞肿瘤分为：
●睾丸精原细胞瘤（testicular seminoma）：40％的生殖细胞肿瘤(germ cell tumors)
●非精原细胞生殖细胞肿瘤（non-seminomatous germ cell tumor）：60％的生殖细胞肿瘤
●睾丸胚胎细胞癌（testicular embryonal cell carcinoma）
●睾丸绒毛膜癌（testicular choriocarcinoma）
●睾丸卵黄囊肿瘤（testicular yolk sac tumor）
●睾丸畸胎瘤(testicular teratoma)
●睾丸混合生殖细胞肿瘤（testicular mixed germ cell tumor）：15％（通常一个或多个NSGCT和精原细胞瘤） 2
●睾丸非生殖细胞肿瘤（testicular non-germ cell tumor）：原发肿瘤的10％
睾丸生殖细胞肿瘤可能在转移后“烧尽（burn out）”，仅留下小的钙化睾丸内小结节。
